Dr. Ron Paul on U.S Health & Wealth

The surprising performance of presidential candidate and
Texas Republican, Dr Ron Paul is the talk of the Internet. And his
health policies reflect his traditional small-government approach.

Dr. Paul speaks candidly about U.S. healthcare; the state of U.S. politics;
and how elite groups are leading the country away from its constitutional
roots and towards its demise.

Topics:
- How socialized, corporate healthcare is failing us.
- Puting people back in control of their own health.
- How the FDA's over-regulation of medicine harms.
- Problems with fair media coverage of his campaign.
- The role of elites and secret socities in U.S politics.
- The abandoning of the roots of the U.S. Constitution.
- Likely collapse of the U.S. similar to that of the U.S.S.R.

Also includes highlights of Ron Paul appearance
on ABC's 'This Week' show on 8th July, 2007.

10th July, 2007

Thanks dude.

It would have been great to have him on for an hour and get into
a whole heap of stuff. But we got this interview wearing the
MyLongLife.com hat, on the general topic of U.S. healthcare.

But in the end we also managed to get revealing detail of Dr Paul's
assesment of many other aspects of the U.S today. Gotta take what
you can get when you have to get in line behind ABC TV, etc.

Just wondering that's all.

i can't believe stephanopoulos said "you'll never win," right to ron paul's face and on record... what a low-balling message to put out not only to anyone watching, but anyone hearing it repeated later and reading it in the press. that could not have been ad-libbed.

anyway, i'd not followed much on ron paul, but i like his flowing answers that actually seem to have logic that may be his own, and not some canned shit.

i don't expect anyone to be perfect, and a christ wouldn't stand a chance at all. maybe this guy is our hope?

thanks for a great audio, fintan. keep up the excellent work! (no doubt you will.)

Fintan -- hold on a second...

Have you considered *why* Ron Paul is suddenly shooting up the pop charts?

You -- the great denouncer of CIA fakes -- why aren't you more skeptical?

RP is alleged to be a Freemason; now suddenly, he is the darling of the sheeple/ media. Isn't it a little too convenient that RP suddenly appears as the people's saviour?

To you of all skeptics I say Beware of Greeks Bearing Gifts.

Other than that, keep up the good work (and put up more audio).

Sincerely,

[/signed/]

Well I AM pretty skeptical. Very Happy

Just figured that one the best ways to learn more is to get the guy on!

Whatever the motivation for the hype built around him, I reckon that it
is good that we see a de facto recognition of the classic small-government
ideaology the Republicans used to have.... way back when.

That model has been off the political landscape for years. Now it's back.
Indeed, considering the broad appeal of RP across the political spectrum,
there may be a bit of a realignment of entrenched left-right positions.

Maybe I can get a more probing in-depth interview down the line.

I have to say, I liked what he had to say. The only part that stood out to me was the neocons hijacked the country line. That's often used to back up the storyline that this country was perfectly fine before Bush Jr. and the gang rolled in.

Not nearly enough to hang the man with though, I would be curious to see how he would hold up in a more extensive interview.

And remember that Dr Ron Paul has been, from the get-go, a long time darling of a certain well-funded Texan fruit loop whose name presently escapes me.

Well balanced, professional Q&A neutrality, Fintan.

Looking forward to the next instalment

I've voiced dissent in the past here but this is the first time I've been truly, truly disappointed. I can't believe Next Level thinking is now backing a Republican candidate for president. And with all the trappings of other traditional Business Party communities: highlighting all of the 'good stuff' accompanied by convenient sidestepping of the horrific stuff.

No time for a polemic today but this is pathetic. After everything that is talked about, here is the endgame, support for the Business Party. And a Republican at that.

I'm sure this post will get responses from ressurected sectors of the 'vote for the issue not the party' crowd, always the last line of defense for those propping up this shitty system. First that hack Mike Lin. Now a 'serious' Business Party candidate, Ron Paul.

This development gives fresh perspective to the CIA Fakes reporting.

How many mistaken assumptions are there in the following:

Prize to whomever guesses the closest without going over (ala Price is Right style)...

Considering this atm wrote in the prior post:

And this Fintan wrote about questions already asked:

What keeps us all divided has as much to do with OUR perception of the world around us as it does the world around us.

We need to be vigilant in understanding, and confirming correct understanding, of what we read or hear - too often what we think we heard is not what was said.

Yep.. Right on. We have to figure that in our equation.

The question is whether the it's a case of the fruit loop having Ron Paul
on his carefully-crafted schizophrenic show to try get more street cred
with RP's natural conservative constituency. Or the other way around.
Or even both. Points to consider.

Quote:
atlien: I've voiced dissent in the past here....

Right on dude. Dissent is the hallmark of open debate.

Quote:
atlien: I can't believe Next Level thinking is now

Gulp. Are we backing a Republican candidate for president?

First off, I'm not backing anyone for President. Just that it was nice to
get a little insight into what is going on by interviewing a Presidential
candidate. I didn't think Rudi was going to come on the show. And for
sure Hillary isn't! I suppose McCain is so desperate he probably would
have come on, but he lives in Baghdad for PR purposes at the moment
and the phone lines ain't so good.

And I wouldn't really call Ron Paul a 'Republican.' It's too vague a term.
He makes it clear that his Republican garb is a badge of convenience and
more importantly, he's about a million miles from the rest of the party on
virtually every single issue. Call him and Old Republican maybe, and the
rest of them.... just call 'em New Corporate Republicans.

That's what's so interesting for me. In one way, it's like catching sight of
the last of a political species which is on the verge of extinction. But,
maybe the traction RP is getting is instead a signal of the re-emergence
of that species.

The more I think about it the more I see that the issue of getting the
Government off the backs of the people and out of their faces and out
of their lives as much as possible, is a goal that transcends the current
New Corporate Democrats v New Corporate Republicans 'divide.' (ahem)

You are either for more Government, or less. Much, much less.
Governments are like trolls. The more you feed 'em the worse they get.

That's the issue that interests me. More than Ron Paul.
That's why I interviewed him.
