A male in his 20s has been charged with murder and will appear in court tomorrow, while police found two explosive devices found one of the perpetrators' vehicles - one of which was deactivated, and the other was being worked on by the New Zealand Defense Forces.
Four people were taken into custody in connection with the attack who held extremist views, yet were not on any police watchlists; three men and a women - however just the one of them has been charged in the massacres.
Australian media reports have named 28-year-old Brenton Tarrant as the shooter. He published a 74-page anti-immigrant manifesto prior to the attack explaining who he is and why he conducted the attack.

ONE suspect in the New Zealand mosque shootings appears to have described himself as an "ordinary white man" who "decided to take a stand".
Brenton Tarrant, 28, from Australia, was named in media reports in his home country as the gunman who appeared to have live-streamed the attack in Christchurch on Facebook as he shot victims in a mosque.
In a 74-page manifesto, believed to have been written by Tarrant, he describes anti-immigrant motives, saying the victims were a "large group of invaders" who he says "seek to occupy my peoples lands and ethnically replace my own people (sic)".
He said he was inspired by Norwegian shooter Anders Breivik.
Australian prime minister Scott Morrison confirmed that one of the people taken into custody is an Australian.
The manifesto, posted online, features a series of questions and answers, and opens with one asking: "Who are you?"
The answer says: "Just a ordinary White man, 28 years old. Born in Australia to a working class, low income family.
"My parents are of Scottish, Irish and English stock. I had a regular childhood, without any great issues. I had little interest in education during my schooling, barely achieving a passing grade."
He adds: "I am just a regular White man, from a regular family. Who decided to take a stand to ensure a future for my people."
He describes himself as "a private and mostly introverted person" and admits he is racist, adding that he is an "Eco-fascist by nature".
He said New Zealand was not the original choice for an attack, saying he only came to the country temporarily to plan and train.
On his planning for the attack, he wrote: "I begun planning an attack roughly two years in advance and an attack at the location in Christchurch three months in advance."
Answering whether he supports Brexit, he wrote: "Yes, though not for an official policy made. The truth is that eventually people must face the fact that it wasn't a damn thing to do with the economy.
"That it was the British people firing back at mass immigration, cultural displacement and globalism, and that's a great and wonderful thing."
On whether or not he is a supporter of US president Donald Trump, he wrote: "As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure. As a policy maker and leader? Dear god no."
Oswald Mosley is the person from history that he says he would most associate himself with.
An archive of a Facebook page thought to belong to Tarrant contained dozens of posts in the last week about multiculturalism in Europe, with several referring directly to the UK.
Among them were YouTube recordings of speeches by Mosely.
Christchurch mosque gunman Brenton Tarrant worked as a personal trainer at Big River Gym in the northern New South Wales city of Grafton, the ABC can reveal. Gym manager Tracey Gray confirmed the man who filmed the attack and streamed it online was Tarrant.
She said he worked at the gym after he finished school in 2009 until 2011, when he left to go travelling overseas in Asia and in Europe.
"I think something must have changed in him during the years he spent travelling overseas," she said.
Tarrant said he worked for a short time before making some money from Bitconnect, a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, then used the money to fund his travels.
Tarrant is known to have visited Europe, South-East Asia and east Asia.
His travels also took him to North Korea, where he was photographed in a tour group visiting the Samjiyon Grand Monument.
Just watched the live video. This was a real shooting. Dude used single shots. He walked through the mosque shooting everyone he could. I think he reloaded 3 times (not positive). Walked out to his car. Shot down the front of the mosque (down to the left sidewalk, then the right) a few times. Grabbed another identical carbine. Dropped the used carbine on the ground by his car/SUV. All carbines and magazines had white writing all over them. He had what looked like at least two gas cans in his car. He grabbed one then decided to leave it behind in the trunk/open hatchback. Came back to the rear of building; entered and started shooting those still breathing. Exited back out the front of the mosque, shot a lady on the sidewalk as he left the building (lady was by gate to sidewalk), then walked up and shot her twice in the head. Her body buckled and lurched and her head exploded (Unlike that cop shot in France point blank in the head with an AK47when nothing happened to his body.). Then he calmly walks back to his car and runs over her body lying on the street right in front of his exfil. Dude was trained for sure.
The video was almost 18 minutes long. No cops/sf heroes ever showed up during the video. He got back in his car and drove away. He walked the entire time. No running.

I am certain it will end up someplace like "BestGore". They usually are on top of that.
Edit: Yeah it's up there if you want to see it. I'm not interested, but somebody had to do it. Regardless of my feelings on this particular video, I support the site because they often show up close what USA/NATO bombs actually do to people.

I checked out Bestgore, but the vid wouldn't play. They claim the site has been receiving attacks, and certain functions may not be available. If they are attacking the sites that are showing the vid that's incredible. I did manage to watch one.
Im not really interested in it either, but the fact there was an effort to pull the video, and calls to stop it being shared irked the shit out of me. New Zealand police said not to show it as its disturbing...well im old enough to judge these things for myself, and wont give it to appeals to emotion, and all that other stuff.
