And while Trump issues galvanize the news cycle, back
in the trenches, resistance continues to the endemic
corruption of child welfare and adoption issues.

And News of a victory!

We've been quietly lobbying and thanks to Senator Lynn Ruane and
her parliamentary team, the Irish Upper House last night defeated
the government by inserting additional safeguards into the proposed
(Forced) Adoption Bill
for child welfare cases. :D :D

Here's the video of Lynn in FIREBRAND form, arguing the case for her
amendment to safeguard parents rights. The government minister's
attempted defense is actually great fun - because it is a classic case
of convoluted bureaucratic doublespeak. Which LOST the vote.

This is a briefing video we just put
out to bolster the case for reform:

It's not that easy to defeat a government bill on a topic
they would like to exploit to show how much they care. (Ahem)

Great result! One that sets us up nicely for battles ahead.

Now back to matters more esoteric...
elsewhere in this rather vast forum....

IRELAND'S 'SERPICO' COP
BEATS SEX CRIMES SMEAR

"Pay no attention to McCabe.
He's a child sex abuser....."

That's what journalists were told in off-the-record briefings by the most

senior police officer in the Irish force: Police Commissioner O'Sullivan!

FULL STORY HERE >
McCabe -a troublesome police whistle blower, had been stitched up by false
sex abuse allegation routed through "Tusla" - the very State child welfare
organization we have been campaigning against with success (posts above).

That's the breaking claim - and the establishment is running for cover.
Including the prime minister and the deputy PM -both in the spotlight.

FULL STORY in our Irish/EU in Revolt topic.

I wrote a piece on the implications of all
this for the Tusla child welfare agency:

Image[/size]

TUSLA HAS DESTROYED THE CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM

Damaging revelations which have deeply undermined the credibility of Tusla's internal systems inevitably will cast doubt on ALL allegations routed via Tusla in child welfare cases. If cases with serious sexual allegations can appear and disappear within Tusla on the whim of a "clerical error" -then what court can rely on the agency?

With Tusla's evidence now tainted, future court rulings may be legally unsound. This demands an immediate review of Tusla's welfare case processing systems.

Lives are being grievously affected by child welfare court rulings based merely on the likelihood of an allegation being true. Proof beyond doubt is not required. It's a slim basis on which to make life-changing rulings. All the more so now.

How high up in Tusla does this go? Who's running what in Tusla? Who appointed whom to which positions? Who knew of the McCabe file, and when?

For the agency, those questions mean there's no way back from this. It's the beginning of the end for what too many of Tusla's "clients" view as a Reign of Terror. Tusla already has garnered a reputation as a costly, inept and bureaucratically arrogant, child welfare "Stazi".

You and I will give €713 MILLION EUROS to Tusla in 2017. In part to enrich itself and it's surrogate corporate "partners" by preying on victims of the Celtic Tiger; on families in distress and real need.

Last month, Tusla retained in foster care the child of a mother who had triumphed over heroin addiction to raise a new baby - but lacked enough space for her older child in her humble accommodation. She pleaded for weekend visits by the child to assuage her mother's longing. Tusla turned her down.

The money which the foster care and the Tusla bureaucracy will cost would house that heroic mother and her children many times over. Tusla's €713 Million could fit out Ireland a new national children's hospital. With change to pay for scoliosis patient's spinal operations to ease their daily burden of unbearable pain.

Tusla also lies in wait near the bedsides of pregnant women - to snatch their new-born babies. Many scores of them every year. At this very moment we have a commission of inquiry into how Ireland's pregnant single mothers were confined in so-called Mother and Baby Homes. Within these concentration convents, mothers were stripped of their parental rights, their dignity, their maternal hearts and their new-born babies.

Kathy McMahon, founder of Irish First Mothers told a Dail Committee last year that her abiding memory in one such concentration camp was of girls screaming as their babies were taken. Doctors, lawyers, social workers and judges oversaw this highly lucrative trade in the flesh of innocence. Kathy's compelling testimony was omitted from the committee's final report.

This SYSTEM does't want to face it's mass crimes of old.

This SYSTEM has simply PRIVATIZED it's Moral Police.

The Moral Police chiefs wear crisp corporate suits.

Doctors, lawyers, social workers, judges oversee.

And the business of preying continues apace.

Tell me what has changed.

What has changed?
What has changed?

MADONNA PRAISES MALAWI AS "DISCOUNT STORE" FOR KIDS

by Fintan Dunne, http://BreakForNews.com

Madonna is back in New York this weekend after adopting four-year-old twins Stelle and Estere. The superstar, 68, arrived on a Gulfstream IV jet, singing the praises of Malawi as an adoption destination.

"It's where your family dollar goes further," quipped the wealthy pop icon - a reference to US discount chain Family Dollar. "I just picked up a two-for-one deal on a pair of twins - and it only took two weeks!"

Authorizing the adoption, Judge Fiona Mwale said she questioned Madonna at length because the former singer could be accused of "robbing Malawi of its most precious resource, its children".

However, in the end, the judge sanctioned the speedy abduction process because these broader concerns had to be balanced against the very generous bribes paid.

Malawi's official adoption season promotions include a so-called "Perfect 10" deal: two persons all-in, staying two weeks, shooting two tigers, visiting two luxury spas and finishing by adopting twins for the normal price of a single child(one set of twins max per visit).

But Madonna, 75, denied she shot any tigers on her trip. "What do you take me for," she queried angrily. "Some kind of stinking-rich, shallow narcissist with a colonial mindset? Puh...lease."

Madonna also defended her purchase of the twins. "I needed a couple of quite dark skinned kids to broaden the overall range of skin-tones in my family," the singer, 83, explained to TMZ.

"Call me fastidious, but we're a proud, green-living, multi-ethnic, new era family," the Like a Virgin super celeb added.

Media reports say the twins were born delivered by cesarean section and their mother died within days due to complications. The twin children will leave behind five older brothers and sisters in Malawi - along with their father.

The twins' father was at the Jan. 25 court hearing attended by Madonna, but he is now remarried with additional child dependents and had to place his twin daughters in an orphanage.

Madonna, who claims to want to use her wealth to benefit others, was unfortunately apparently unable to come up with funds to help this father keep his family together.

Some commentators and most people with at least two brain cells, now realize the singer has simply taken advantage of the father's situation, and used her wealth to abduct his children.

The court also queried the age of the singer, but Madonna, 92, said that in the event of her untimely death, she had arranged for her body to be stuffed and filled with advanced robotics and voice simulation.

"The children would never even know they were under the care of a heartless machine," she promised.

VINDICATION DAY! [finger]

Breaking worldwide is news of an admission by an official Irish inquiry, that
mass graves of infant remains have been found - despite early denials.

Here's the breaking story in two minutes:

“So many things get covered up these days,
I am just so thankful that this has come out”.

Just for the sheer ironic lols, read this letter from an Irish PR consultant
to a French TV Documentary maker who had expressed interest in coming
to Ireland in 2014 to look into unconfirmed claims of a mass infant grave.

The words "If you come here, you'll find no mass grave"
are today getting much derision from a shocked public:

Thank you Fintan for all your hard work helping us Irish First Mothers.

I know that without your help we would not have found our own voices.

Thank you Hawkwind and others who have encouraged Fintan and I
-and thus all First Mothers- to continue the fight for justice.

Apologies I have not been on here much but it's been three years now since
I set up a support group for Irish women who were incarcerated and had
their infants taken from them. It's a slow process but we are getting there.

Once again, thank you for all the support everyone, particularly Fintan.

Indeed, both of you deserve a massive vote of thanks for your tenacity and determination to force these issues into the open and to tackle the massive injustices that have been allowed to fester away for far too long. That's taken real character, integrity and an incalculable amount of time and energy.
Hats off for Kathy and Fintan!

On UPI now and also
on national press:
Wider search sought after remains found at Tuam home

Women call for former mother and baby homes in Cork and Dublin to be investigated

The Irish First Mothers group called on Minister for Children Katherine Zappone to “immediately quantify” the number of bodies to end the “distressing uncertainty”.

Kathy McMahon of the organisation, which represents about 60 women, said its members were “very much alive and range in age from late 70s to early 40s” .

“The mothers in the group who were at Bessborough [in Cork] are calling for an examination of the grounds. There are mothers who are now in their 80s, who were told their babies died and they have no evidence.”

Ms McMahon said a home at St Patrick’s on Dublin’s Navan Road also needed to be investigated, as did any home where babies were born on-site.

[....]

"They were known as the “home babies”, and Kevin O’Dwyer says he can still hear the clatter of their hobnail boots on the way to primary school.

O’Dwyer, a retired school principal and longtime resident of Tuam, was reared on the old Athenry road close to the Bon Secours institution.

“We’d hear the boots on the road in the morning,” he says.

”They were always kept back so they wouldn’t arrive at school the same time as the rest of us. That also meant they got a slap for being late – every single day.”

“They had to wear uniforms when the rest of us didn’t, they were put into separate lines, they had a separate area in the playground, and we never even got to know their names,” he says.

“At age six or seven, they would be taken out and sent to foster homes or industrial school. There were no ‘home babies’ in any Holy Communion or Confirmation photos. They were looked upon as children of sin.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

See: http://bit.ly/KathyMcMahonJournalArticle
By Kathy McMahon, Founder Irish First Mothers Ph: +353.862106116

Image5th March, 2017 - Irish First Mothers has today written to the Irish Attorney General seeking to bring prosecutions under the Irish Genocide Act of 1973 in respect of religiously motivated grievous injuries which we suffered.

We claim the protection of Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide adopted by the U. N. General Assembly – and we demand justice under the provisions of Ireland's 1973 enactment of that Convention.

We were subjected to religiously motivated, grossly criminal acts which meet the following criteria described under Section 2 of the Convention:

2(b): Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group.
2(e): Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

The Attorney General could pursue prosecutions for failure to prevent genocide, for conspiracy, for incitement and for the crime of genocide itself. But we have identified no culpable parties and we leave such matters to the judgement of the Attorney General's office.

Full Text of our correspondance - outling the basis of our genocide claim is below.

Request for Consideration of Prosecutions
Under Genocide Act of 1973

The Attorney General of Ireland,

Ms. Máire Whelan SC,

Government Buildings,
Upper Merrion Street,
Dublin D02 R583.

5th March, 2017

I write publicly in a personal capacity and representing views from a group of over sixty women formerly resident in Ireland's “Mother and Baby Homes”.

We seek that your office bring prosecutions under the Irish Genocide Act of 1973 in respect of religiously motivated grievous injuries which we suffered.

Specifically, we claim the protection of Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide adopted by the U. N. General Assembly on 9 December 1948 – and we demand justice under the provisions of Ireland's 1973 enactment of that Convention.

We were subjected to religiously motivated, grossly criminal acts which meet the following criteria described under Section 2 of the Convention:

2(b): Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group.
2(e): Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

We quote from Section 2 hereunder:

“genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group”

With respect to genocide, it is the religious mindset of the perpetrator (not the victim) which is pertinent. We assert that the perpetrators were malignly motivated by their own Catholic idealogical characterization of us as a religiously defined group: a caste of so-called “fallen women”.

Irish society has a historic, deep Catholic veneration of the “virgin mother” as a deity figure. Thus us unmarried mothers were automatically deemed offensively faithless; viewed culturally by perpetrators as bereft of rights.

We assert that their intent was to destroy us as a religious group, as a cohort -by every and all social and quasi-legal available means.

"Single mothers are fallen women and grave sinners, whose children are the product of wickedness". (1952, Father Cecil Barrett, Head of the Catholic Social Welfare Bureau)

Consequent on that genocidal intent we cite these injuries per Article 2:

Genocide Article 2 (b): Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group.

One signature of our treatment was that we were concentrated as a religiously-defined group in one place of effective social detention. Typically we were sequestered in “Unmarried Mothers Homes” which were under the control of religious persons who were also agents of the State.

Polish Jewish lawyer Raphael Lemkin who coined the term "genocide" defined it as:
"a coordinated plan of different actions aiming at the destruction of essential foundations of the life of national groups, with the aim of annihilating the groups themselves."

We suffered under such a plan, with the depth and scale of its inhumanity slowly declining in intensity down the decades until the last such place of social detention closed in the mid-1990's.

But throughout all that time of diminishing physical injuries to us, there persisted the relentless psychological injury of shaming and sequestration, compounded with deep, traumatic, grievous, life long psychological injuries arising from forced separation from our own flesh and blood. Our babies.

We also further cite the following injuries:

Genocide Article 2 (e): Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

The second signature of our treatment was that the vast majority of us were dragooned into transferring our children to another group. The reason for the taking of our children was religious (our unfitness) and the recipients of our infants were also religiously defined: “good” Catholics, mostly.

This quote sums up administrative and legal attitude to our rights:

"The foster mother seems to be a devout Catholic. The mother is a lapsed Catholic. She is not a fit person to be granted custody". (1946, High Court dismissal by Mr. Justice Gavan Duffy of Miss Bridget Noonan's application for the return of her child)

Following the 1952 Adoption Act, this transfer of children was enabled preponderantly by quasi-legal adoptions which relied on consents which were betimes forged, incompetent, encumbered, uninformed and which comprised a sanctioned mass fraud upon the adoption courts.

We were sequestered and shamed; rendered dependant and intimidated within the walls of our “concentration camps”. Some were deliberately depersonalised by being forced to use pseudonyms. Thus our personal agency was deeply impaired -in many cases for decades thereafter.

By sense of agency we mean we lost our feeling of being a worthwhile member of our society –with inalienable rights to happiness, to due process, to personal fulfilment. Lacking adequate agency, we were involuntarily rendered incompetent to offer consent subsequently.

Furthermore the medical effect of these shocks –ending in the horrific loss of our infants- triggered complex mental trauma which left us suffering in various stages of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Some mothers describe signing consents as if in a dream, others can barely recall the event due to self-protective memory loss. Most consents were thus a legal farce.

Even had we sufficient agency and mental competence, real consent would have required for example, that our legal adviser would be paid by us, would fairly determine agency and competence, would banish other adults while discussing our legal choices to ensure we were not encumbered by duress, would advise without bias. In the main, such diligence was but a fantasy.

Another quote indicates administrative and legal attitude to our rights:

"I think that we are all agreed that the consensus opinion in our society is to the effect that adoption is better for the illegitimate baby than to be cared for by its mother".
(1974, Paddy Cooney, Minister for Justice.
Speech at First Irish Adoption Workers Conference)

What has prompted us to bring these matters to your attention is recent official statements in respect of mass graves of infants in Tuam, Co Galway.

As victims of systematic human rights abuses, the appalling vista of potential mass scale irregular deaths within institutions whose ambience and environs we shall never forget, has crystallized in our understanding a genocidal context to our treatment.

There is already in the public domain much evidence of a genocidal context, in academic studies, in Inquiries or in law cases, etc.. But no doubt your office would legitimately defer adjudicating until informed by the final report of the Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes.

We may supplement this communication with focused and referenced legal argument which fleshes out the issues we raised above in informal terms. But for now, as an appropriate officer of government in respect of genocide prosecutions, we commend these issues to you for your consideration.

respectfully
