I was going to say something
about Nicola Sturgeon but...
I can't remember.......

Here's the Salmond v SNP Spooks Elite
story in all its gory details --as revealed
under privilege by David Davis:

Nicola Sturgeon however just doubles down and keeps on digging at that hole underneath her political career ...

... maybe this is why - https://wingsoverscotland.com/not-listening/
... or this -
The Crown Office, The Spectator and a fight for a free press
https://archive.is/h9eI4#selection-505.0-509.146

The power wielded by Nicola Sturgeon and her Scottish government means it’s hard to hold her to account for basic policy failures — of which there are many. It’s even harder to investigate accusations that her aides conspired to frame and imprison someone who had become a political problem for her. The Alex Salmond affair has shown the many ways the public prosecutors in the Crown Office, led by a member of Sturgeon’s cabinet, have sought to censor and redact his allegations.
...

We can now disclose that the Crown Office is doing a clear-up job, seeking to expunge remnants of Salmond’s evidence from the internet. It has ordered The Spectator to make further redactions to the Salmond submission. If we fail to comply, we have been advised that we could face penalties in excess of £50,000 (there is no cap), plus huge legal costs we would not recoup even if we win in court. It’s quite a risk, so we must consider removing Salmond’s evidence from our website.
...

The hurdle in front of The Spectator now is great. The Crown Office even told us not to tell readers about its demand — but we can’t be silent about its mendacious threats to a free press. Even if we end up succumbing to its censorship, we can still put its methods on record.

This is how the SNP government and its supine supporters operate. The recently passed Hate Crime Act gives them even more powers to menace the press. Scotland is being ushered towards an era of censorship, threats and state repression. The good news for those who cherish the principles of democratic debate — and those of the Scottish Enlightenment — is that this will not happen without a fight.

The First Minister is a liar
https://wingsoverscotland.com/the-first ... is-a-liar/

We’ve received information this afternoon with regard to Nicola Sturgeon’s statements at today’s FMQs, which appear to have been wholly and disturbingly dishonest.

The quote below is from an email sent today by SNP communications chief Murray Foote, briefing ministers and MSPs on the official Scottish Government line, which is what the First Minister told the chamber in response to a question from Ruth Davidson.
...

We pass the true facts on to you below.

————————————————————————————-

The evidence that civil servants DID in fact seek to obstruct the court process is found within the note of Senior Counsel to the Lord Advocate dated 17 December 2018 and finally published on Friday 5th March 2021. The First Minister’s account of this matter does not accord with the facts.
...

What was concealed from disclosure in the judicial review was the email address of Nicky Page of Police Scotland, and the subsequent email exchange between her and Judith Mackinnon withdrawing the documentation. This would have shown that the email exchange about potential reporting to police, against the wishes of complainants, and a draft of the policy itself, had been sent to Police Scotland (inadvertently) on 23 November 2017.
...

So it was the unredacted document that was withheld from Salmond’s team and the court, and it was the improperly redacted version that the First Minister referred to as having been submitted to the court for the judicial review on 21 November 2018.

The data-protection excuse offered by the civil servants for the redaction is fatuous. This was a court document. What they were trying to hide was the fact that it had gone to Police Scotland.

Thus David Davis was absolutely right to say in the Commons that the email had been pulled from the bundle of documents approved by counsel. Which means that the First Minister was categorically lying to Parliament this afternoon, by referring to an entirely different document. Unfortunately Ruth Davidson appeared not to have been adequately briefed to pick her up on it.

But it was an unarguable lie, because if she’d been telling the truth and the relevant document had in fact been submitted on 21 November 2018, why on Earth would the Scottish Government’s counsel be so angry about its non-disclosure a month later, on the 17th of December 2018? The notion is insultingly absurd.
...

It was Government counsel who found out that this information, including the draft policy, had been sent to the police (inadvertently or not). It was then concealed not just once, but the unredacted document deliberately withheld after counsel instruction, at which point they quite understandably went ballistic.

“An extremely difficult position professionally” was how David Davis was well within his rights to describe in his explosive speech to the Commons on Tuesday the situation in which the Scottish Governments had placed its own counse
...

The First Minister, however, has gone a step further and directly lied about it. There is almost no time left for anyone to hold her accountable for that lie, except us.
Not that it's her fault, of course  -

https://caltonjock.com/2021/03/17/the-d ... oyd-in-it/

There's an election coming up very soon in less than two months which is going to be crucial regards how the fight for independence proceeds, so why are the SNP trying to divide the YES movement? ...
A matter of timing
https://wingsoverscotland.com/a-matter- ... ore-127826
...

Because the real question about the SNP’s sudden demented obsession with focusing the public’s attention on its most unpopular policies right before supposedly the most important election in its history isn’t “Why?”

It’s “Why now?”

The party professes to be seeking a big majority at Holyrood so that its mandate for a second independence referendum will be clear and (it asserts) undeniable.

But if that was really the case, wouldn’t it be bending over backwards to create unity in the Yes movement, not division? Would it really be forcing through the widely-despised Hate Crime Bill in a mad pre-election rush? Would it really be going so far out of its way to push the enormously controversial and poisonously divisive transgender issue? Would it be so doggedly and spitefully alienating a huge swathe of its own members with its treatment of Joanna Cherry?
...

You don’t win a war by triggering a civil war in your own side at the same time, as the Russians had learned 100 years earlier. You do whatever it takes to keep your team together, and then you settle your scores and conduct your purges quietly afterwards.

But since the SNP have instead chosen the exact opposite route – lashing out left, right and centre at Yes supporters – only one more question remains to be answered:

Is it an accident – in which case its leadership is the most incompetent and stupid in Scottish political history – or is it on purpose, in which case the only possible goal must be to deliberately AVOID getting a majority, so that it has a foolproof excuse for not delivering independence and can sit back and enjoy five more cosy and lucrative years in power, while still being able to implement all its unpopular social-engineering laws because the Greens, Lib Dems and Labour will back them?

Here's a video he made a few days ago that's well worth a view before it also gets wipped from youtoobs -

And here's the candidate that he supports, who's standing against the SNP's chosen successor to Nicola Sturgeon, Angus Robertson (who is up to his grubby neck in the Salmond Stitch Up!) - Bonnie Prince Bob (who's also a complete c*nt apparently  ... but )

Poor Craig Murray - a political prisoner! Soon he'll be joining his friend Julien Assage behind the bars of the British State!

This from his twitter feed today -

Craig Murray
@CraigMurrayOrg

So my verdict was delayed exactly eight weeks from the hearing until today, instantly after the Holyrood and Hamilton inquiries were completed and Scots Parliament adjourned.

My sentencing is set for 7 May the day after the Parliamentary elections.

Total coincidence of course.

The COPFS are as corrupt as f*ck!

Yesterday Alex Salmond released a statement ... via the Free Indy Media/Bloggers first! ... before the toxic MSM! GIRFUY! 8)
Time to shine a light
https://wingsoverscotland.com/time-to-s ... ore-128386
...

STATEMENT FROM ALEX SALMOND AT CONCLUSION OF INQUIRIES

This is my third and final public statement on the subject of the parliamentary and Hamilton investigations and the Dunlop Review.

The Inquiries are over and despite their manifest limitations, the findings are in and must be accepted, just like the verdicts of juries and the judgements of courts.
...

I have waited to see the response from those individuals to the publication of the reports. Unfortunately, it appears that the clear intention is to carry on regardless.

Thus I intend to take two specific actions which emerge directly from the findings of these reports.

First, the Parliamentary Committee has made clear that the catastrophic failures in this matter are not just systemic, but can properly be laid at the door of individuals, and in particular, the Permanent Secretary.
...

I was previously forced to take the Permanent Secretary to the Court of Session over the illegality of her actions and was successful. Despite being found responsible for that unlawful and unfair process and incurring a vast and avoidable cost to the taxpayer of over £600,000 in legal expenses, the Permanent Secretary did not offer her resignation on January 8th 2019.

Now, more than two years later, and despite the most damning condemnation from a Committee in the history of the modern Scottish Parliament, the Permanent Secretary still refuses to accept real responsibility.

Instead, the waste of public resources has continued to grow as has the impact on all the people concerned.

This cannot stand. I have therefore taken legal advice and will shortly be instructing my lawyers to bring proceedings in the Court of Session arising as a direct result of the conduct of the Permanent Secretary. I hope it is the only legal action that I am required to take.
...

Secondly, the report of Mr James Hamilton makes clear that the question of the leak of the story of the original complaints in August 2018 was not part of his remit but should instead be referred to the Police.
...

I will accordingly now make that complaint to the Police and allow them to discover who within the Scottish Government was responsible for passing these details to the Daily Record newspaper. I have every confidence that Police Scotland will pursue that matter with rigour.

I intend to make no further public comment on these issues and will leave the police and the courts to do their job.

Instead I intend to move on, just as Scotland should now move on to debate the key election issues before us all, principally economic recovery from the pandemic and the future independence of our country.
Meanwhile Permanent Secretary Leslie Evans has Nicola Sturgeon's full confidence and support!
Scheming on a mirage
https://wingsoverscotland.com/scheming-on-a-mirage/

This isn’t just a massive middle finger to justice and every voter in Scotland.

https://archive.is/x7k0K#selection-1285.98-1285.130

This is an act of sabotage.

There can be little doubt as to the only reason Leslie Evans is still in a job
this morning after the absolutely excoriating criticism of her in yesterday’s report from the Holyrood inquiry. It’s that she knows exactly where the First Minister’s bodies are buried.
...

Evans has barely a year left in post anyway before retirement. Had she been thrown under the bus it would have represented a mere loss of face, easily cushioned by her vast civil service pension and her complete lack of any personal shame or conscience.

But the Permanent Secretary is a vicious and spiteful woman [http://www.kidsnotsuits.com/fake-news-h ... ies-begin/] and would have taken Nicola Sturgeon down with her, and so even the pretence that the SNP really wants a majority is thrown to the wolves.

Only fire can cleanse this vampire cancer.

There is now a pro-independence party with a serious chance of winning a significant number of seats that sane people who believe in science and women’s rights and civil liberties (and actually meaningfully pursuing independence rather than just using it as a carrot to generate pension contributions) can vote for.

Wings Over Scotland has never told its readers who to vote for. But what we can say is that if we lived in Scotland we would be voting for it without a moment’s hesitation. We don’t believe it’s at all an exaggeration to say it’s the last chance to save Scotland as a country that we’d want to live in if and when it finally does achieve its independence. A country worth winning.

They will stand on the List Vote only and support the SNP on the Constituency Vote with the intention of creating an Independence #Supermajority and remove useless incumbent Unionist MSPs thus playing the system specifically designed to thwart Scottish Nationalism at its own game to deny British Nationalism!

They have a good chance of achieving their aims. All will depend on how voting intentions between them and the other pro-indy parties breaks down but ... - Game Changer! ,,, and Game On!

You should really know that we neither like nor use the word "separatist" on this thread Fintan!

Today on the 701st anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320, Alex salmond and the ALBA Party made a declaration of their own -

https://yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.c ... h-in-full/

Alex Salmond has revitalised the YES Movement and although the TV Media still refuse to include ALBA in their debates, the #NewMedia are happy to rise to the occasion and he is happy to accomodate them in his press briefings.

Which is maybe why some of the SNP's MI5 infiltrated members are whining to their bosses that it's "just not cricket" and that something really should be done about it, like switching off the internet or something!
The Strange Convulsion in Scottish Politics
https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives ... -politics/

On 24 March, two of the SNP MP’s most closely aligned to Nicola Sturgeon, Stewart MacDonald and Alyn Smith, asked for a meeting with the British internal security service MI5 to discuss cooperation against Russia. MI5 is the agency charged with countering perceived internal threats to the UK state; Scottish nationalists, environmentalists and anti-nuclear campaigners are among MI5’s major targets. Until a few years ago, the vast majority of Scottish Independence supporters would have regarded MI5 as a particularly egregious manifestation of their traditional enemy, the British state. Yet here was the SNP officially – MacDonald and Smith are the party’s Westminster defence and foreign affairs spokesmen – calling for cooperation with MI5.

To add to this extraordinary volte-face
, there is no doubt that what lay behind MacDonald and Smith’s move was a desire to activate MI5 more openly against Scottish Independence supporters. ...
...

For these new members, MI5 is a perfectly respectable part of the political Establishment. These people in no way see themselves as rebels, whereas the “old SNP”, even its grandees like my old friend Gordon Wilson, first and foremost viewed themselves as rebels.

Gordon Wilson was involved in the pirate “Radio Free Scotland” and the temporary liberation from Westminster Abbey of the stone of Scone. Can you imagine the condemnation from Sturgeon, Smith and MacDonald of such illegal actions today? They would be demanding meetings with MI5 on how to stop it.
...

The truth is that Sturgeon loves being the darling of the Guardian. Her policies are simply those of Hillary Clinton – ...
...
Like Hillary, Nicola’s neo-liberal economics are bound up with extreme hawkish cheerleading for neo-imperialist foreign policy – hence her instant support for Boris Johnson over the ludicrous Skripal narrative, over the ludicrous Douma narrative, over Ukraine, and her sanctioning of Russians under the Beds activities with MI5. Ian Blackford even called directly in parliament for the UK to enact regime change in Syria.
...

The fascinating thing in all this is that the mainstream media, overwhelmingly unionist (particularly the BBC), realises that Nicola Sturgeon is not an authentic danger to the union, and therefore swung its weight very solidly behind Sturgeon, particularly in its reporting of the conduct of the Holyrood and Hamilton Inquiries and their outcomes. The unionists understand full well it is Salmond who threatens the union, whereas Sturgeon is very comfortable atop the devolution structure.
...

The real split in the Independence movement is between those who truly believe the Scots are a people with the right of self-determination as enshrined in the UN Charter, and those who believe we need London permission to be “legal” and therefore, by definition, do not have the right of self-determination.

To put it more bluntly, Whitehall will never willingly accept the loss of Scotland’s magnificent resources – including maritime, energy, water, food and drink, hydrocarbon and other mineral, education, and above all human resources. Unlike Nicola Sturgeon, many of us do not believe that Johnson can simply stop Scottish Independence by declaring it illegal. We are prepared to take the steps that will be required, in terms of non-violent political action and possibly including civil disobedience on a national scale, for Scotland to be able to become independent.

That is the cause of the different paths now being taken in the Independence movement. That is the difference between the SNP and Alba. Do you really want Independence, or is it just a genteel discussion point?
If around 30-35% of SNP voters change their 2nd vote to ALBA on the Regional List then ALBA will take about 20 seats and the #supermajority total of 86 seats, 2/3 of the parliament is a very possible outcome and hence Westminster are shitting it!

The Fight for Scottish Independence has just taken a great step forward!

"As long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours, that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself"

SNP to force schoolchildren to
'face the UK's colonial past' in
Black Lives Matter-inspired lessons

The SNP has published plans to force Scottish schoolchildren to "face the UK's colonial past" in Black Lives Matter-inspired history lessons.

Historians and teachers raised concerns that a new programme of “anti-racist education” which Nicola Sturgeon plans to roll out will present pupils with a one-sided, negative and politicised version of Britain’s history.

The SNP included the pledge to commission a taxpayer-funded teaching programme inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement in its manifesto for the Holyrood elections next month - which opinion polls suggest the party will almost certainly win.

This would highlight “Scotland and the UK’s colonial history” and all schools would be urged to adopt it.

“It is blinkered, distorting and racist to teach history through the narrow perspective proposed by the SNP,” Chris McGovern, a retired headteacher and chairman of the Campaign for Real Education, said.

“Humankind’s capacity for good and evil has nothing to do with skin colour. The SNP’s education policy needs to stop playing truant with truth.”

The SNP manifesto makes clear the policy is motivated by the Black Lives Matter movement, which rose to global prominence following the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in the United States last year.

It states that the Black Lives Matter had “shone a powerful spotlight on continuing racial injustice and race-based violence, and the need for countries to face their colonial history.”

Chris Whatley, Professor of Scottish History at the University of Dundee, said that while he understood why the policy had been proposed, he was concerned that only the negative aspects of the UK’s colonial history would be presented under the SNP scheme.

He added that while it was clear slavery should be condemned and aspects of empire were “evil” by today’s standards, it was a “mistake” to judge history by present-day morals.

"Of course slavery is to be condemned," he said. "A good history programme would recognise the importance of understanding the contexts in which this horrific trade in human beings was then conducted.

"Balance too would be critical - an appreciation that empire was in many respects evil as judged by today’s standards, [but] Scotland today owes much to the gains of empire, an enterprise in which Scots actively participated."

Lindsay Paterson, professor of education policy at the University of Edinburgh, said teaching about racism had been taking place in Scottish schools since the 1980s.

He added: “The important point is that teachers are very experienced in teaching contentious issues in a balanced way. It’s unfortunate when politicians don’t recognise the good work that has been done, including the work that has found a way of dealing with controversial issues objectively.

"Politicians are better to leave this kind of topic to teachers, who know very well how to handle controversy sensitively.”

Clare Adamson, the SNP candidate for Motherwell & Wishaw, said: “The SNP is committed to strengthening education for our young people and recognising the importance of having equality and human rights embedded in our education.

“Only by listening to the very real concerns raised, and recognising and learning from our past, will we be able to properly move forward together. It is not the case that teaching on racism should be even-handed. Racism is wrong and our schools should say so.

“The recent Black Lives Matter movement has shone a powerful spotlight on continuing racial injustice and race-based violence, and the need for countries to face their colonial history.

“That is why I am proud that at this election, the SNP is bringing forward a bold and progressive agenda which will include funding for the development of an online programme on Scotland and the UK’s colonial history throughout the world that can be delivered to schools, and we will encourage Local Authorities to adopt the programme in all schools."

In March the Telegraph revealed that Adam Smith's grave had been included in dossier of sites linked to "slavery and colonialism" by Edinburgh City Council.

The 17th century Scottish Enlightenment philosopher and “father of capitalism” whose face appeared on the £20 note is buried in the city’s Canongate Kirkyard, which is controlled by the local authority.

It's quite simply not an issue of any interest in Scotland, in fact folk would be much more interested just in "Scottish History" being taught in Scotland for a change!

The awareness of slavery in Scotland's history is becoming more well known, however those "Scots" who profited were very few and very much "Brits" exploiting the Union and Empire - check out the architecture in Glasgow!

The BLM influences on the SNP and all their crazy woke policies probably go back to and stem from that time when Nicola got a selfie with her hero Hillary ... and it all went downhill from there!

Anyway, ALBA and Alex Salmond are still being banned from the TV debates, it seems that the British/Scottish establishment are terrified of him.
The source of all fear
https://wingsoverscotland.com/the-source-of-all-fear/

We’ve been racking our brains for a few hours now, but we still haven’t been able to think of a single UK citizen of the last 100 years – indeed, probably the last 300 – who has terrified the British establishment more than Alexander Elliot Anderson Salmond.

By any conceivable measure Salmond is the most successful Scottish politician of all time. He’s the only one to date to have won a (supposedly impossible) majority in the Scottish Parliament, the only one to have secured an independence referendum, and the man who took Scotland to the brink of regaining its democracy, where – despite the best efforts of his successor – it still just about remains.

He survived a uniformly hostile media for 20 years as SNP leader, then also survived a corrupt and criminal conspiracy within his own former party to have him imprisoned, walking out of court a free and innocent man despite a two-year smear campaign in the press and a police and government operation of unprecedented scale trying to convict him.
...

So you’d think that when he formed a brand-new political party, which got numerous elected representatives from the SNP to defect to it, and contested a notionally-crucial Scottish general election, it would sound like a work of absurdist dystopian fiction if one were to suggest the media would exclude it from even participating in televised election debates in a manner more befitting North Korea than a Western democracy.

And yet here we are.
...

Alex Salmond now terrifies the Scottish establishment – an entity which now firmly includes the SNP – as much as he does the British one. It is extraordinary to witness in a supposed democracy the way in which the media and every party in Scotland are colluding to exclude Alba’s voice from the election, and doubly so when you discover how firmly the public is opposed to the conspiracy and wants to be allowed to make its decision free from interference and censorship.
https://scotgoespop.blogspot.com/2021/0 ... -self.html

They do have a party political broadcast going out tonight, well I guess they couldn't block it, so that will help their MSM profile a bit and I get the feeling that more and more SNP loyal voters are slowly coming round to the reality that their list votes are wasted and only get unionists elected.
So it will be interesting to see if there is any shift in the polls.

And they released a pretty good manifesto too -

Summarised here -

Still two weeks to go until #Holyrood2021 and what could be the most important Scottish Election ever! If ALBA do well things afterwards will certainly get interesting!

Just 8 days to go now and despite an almost total mainstream media blackout for ALBA, with yet more TV debates with NO representation for ALex Salmond, yet constant references to him and smearing with NO right to reply - they truely are terrified of him! ... they are getting their message out and are very visible on the street.

Thankfully STV did give him a quick interview after the last debate (well they wouldn't want to be totally tarred with the same brush as the BBC!)

"Why is ALBA needed at this election?" - "In one word, Urgency!" 8)

https://www.newstalk.com/podcasts/highl ... medium=web

It seems that ALBA are finally starting to get some traction with one of the latest polls giving them 8 seats - more than the LIB DEMS!
Exclusive Scot Goes Pop / Panelbase poll suggests the supermajority is on: the SNP, Alba and the Greens are on course to win 62% of the seats in the new Scottish Parliament
https://scotgoespop.blogspot.com/2021/0 ... -poll.html
...

Seats projection (with changes from 2016 election): SNP 61 (-2), Conservatives 24 (-7), Labour 20 (-4), Greens 11 (+5), Alba 8 (+8 ), Liberal Democrats 5 (-)

Pro-independence parties: 80 seats (62.0%)
Anti-independence parties: 49 seats (38.0%)

PRO-INDEPENDENCE MAJORITY OF 31 SEATS

...
Which will be a bit of a disappointment for Nicola Sturgeon as she's NOT that keen on independence!

https://wingsoverscotland.com/queen-of- ... m-kingdom/

Meanwhile in Edinburgh Central Bonnie Prince Bob has gone full Terence McKenna in his latest Political Party and it seems like he is getting enough traction to at least f*ck Angus Robertson if not actually win the seat - which would bring much fun and joy to #Holyrood2021

I'd like to see ALBA get at least 12/13 seats, more than the Greens and Lib Dems combined and with the SNP needing them for a majority and NOT being able to form a simple majority with just the Greens.

https://yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.c ... ependence/

Independence is NOT coming to Scotland any time soon unless something drastically changes, like ridding ourselves of Nicola Sturgeon & co, so the next five years will need to be spent doing that.

I expect the SNP to collapse at the next Council and Westminster elections and to be replaced by ALBA.

Anyway here's an oldie from a few years back that I meant to post then but got lost in time, however it's just as appropriate now as it was then -

Westminster are certainly 'feart' - they've started pulling out all the old 2014 Project Fear scare stories again.

Plenty of work still to be done!
