Re: 'Jesus Never Existed' -Guest: Ken Humphreys -Audio(Score: 1) by orrelix on May 25, 2006 - 06:34 PM | | It could be silly to simply call Jesus a 'character'. If you do objective research, you will find that many writings (in and outside of the Bible) actually made clear references to him, or his purpose for mankind, even as far back as 3000BC. It is easy for modern man to consider these things a 'scam' - remember that people back then weren't the same as we are today, so they wouldn't even have thought about 'scamming'. Worse, people were more loyal and more fundamentalist - they would certainly have killed people trying to 'scam' in this manner. After all, the true Christian philosophies aren't intended to harm anyone. It could be better to believe something is true, and it is not, than to believe that is not true, while it actually is. By the way, the Istraelites were from their current area BEFORE they went to Egypt, and there are archaelogical evidence that at least King Solom did really exist (visit the real Sinai and you must just be surprised). |
