NEW POLL SHOWS TORY LEAD CUT TO JUST 1%

CON 41.5%
LAB 40.4%

"There’s been a dearth of phone polls in this campaign with only Survation and Ipsos MORI still operating in this manner. The other main phone pollsters from GE2015, ComRes and ICM, are now exclusively online – a communication methodology with which they are untested in a general election. Tonight’s latest numbers just reinforce the gap between the two groups of firms polling this election – those with double digit leads and those with low single digit ones." http://bit.ly/2qWPlwm

"I believe the raw data was heavily Labour, but weighting applied has given a tiny Tory lead. If the Labour vote can be mobilised, who knows?" http://bit.ly/2qXgKOE

And that poll was taken BEFORE
the latest terror attack in London.

Desperately seeking Theresa ...

Quote:
The Fear Karma
http://bellacaledonia.org.uk/2017/06/05/the-fear-karma/

The recurring theme of the #GE2017 is of an elite scared of any dissent, whether its the Thurrock Lies footage, the censorship of Mr Ethical at the Rye hustings, the fear in the PM’s face as she stammers out ‘Are you a journalist ….?’ at a factory visit, the repression of the Captain Ska’s anti-Tory song Liar Liar (which they then added insult to injury by asking him not to “go too hard on the Tories”), the multiple media refusals by Theresa May, or the Scottish press’s inability to report on an Edinburgh film-maker who produced a film predicting the Corbyn phenomenon weeks before it happened (and subsequently was locked out of all of his social media platforms – despite achieving a million views) – only The Canary covered it. When Bella put it to two well known Scottish journalists they treated us with complete contempt and refused even to watch it.

The overwhelming theme we’ve seen day after day is fear. Fear of the public, fear of ordinary people, fear of the most plaintive easy questioning, fear of having to defend their track record in office, fear of the world outside their gothic pallisade.
...

This is Project Fear eating itself, live.

As someone in Kent erects a huge version of Theresa May – equal parts Little Britain – Boadicea – and The Wicker Man – giving the whole of Europe the V sign from the White Cliffs of Dover, this General Election has an air of un-reality about it.
...

Is this actually happening?

We fixed that for you - You're welcome Wink Laughing

I don't think it'll knock "Liar, Liar" off the Number One spot but ...

Anyway, all will soon be revealed - Thank God!

Sorry for the semi-non sequitor but doesn't she look like Ed Heath in drag?

We should have indications of the general trend by late EST,
but here we are in the key evening voting hours with the
UK weather quite favorable to a trip to the polling booth.

Labour needs those "will I - won't I?" voters to turn out:

BBC EXIT POLL PROJECTION

Conservative 314
Labour 266
SNP 34
Lib Dem 14
Plaid 3
Green 1
UKIP 0
Other 18

That's the exit poll.
But we're a long way from the result -
given the closeness indicated by this.

Nevertheless if I can say..... :fin

Well how about that for a photo finish! By a mere 2 seats.

The Conservatives plus their allies in Norther Ireland the DUP
have a majority of 2 seats: 328 seats at this moment.

Let's look at some of the electoral and political dynamics of last night.

The share of the vote shows that Corbyn won the election - but the SNP's
dramatic seat losses shredded that party's massive seat total in Scotland,
and thus Labour lost a key coalition partner and their chance of joint rule.

Corbyn put together an alliance of enthused younger voters and previous
non-voters combined with older austerity-hit anti-establishment Ukippers
to deliver a 10-point rise in Labour’s vote compared with two years ago,
to 40%. This is just below the 41% secured by Tony Blair in his 2001
landslide victory.

Labour made gains across the country, while the Tories saw their more
modest but still substantial increase in support concentrated largely in
the seats they already held.

Labour gained strongly among younger, more affluent urban voters while
the Conservatives reached working-class voters who had never supported
them before.

There was an 8% swing from Conservatives to Labour in those seats
that voted remain in last year’s referendum. In seats that voted leave
there was a 1% swing from Labour to the Conservatives.

Corbyn’s fudge on Brexit proved highly efficient in minimising defections
among leave voters while still proving positive enough for unhappy
remain voters, especially in London.

As to the Conservatives new hard-right DUP bedfellows......

"....And as for all the 80% of Labour MPs who voted against Corbyn (yeah I'm talking to you, you f***ing Blairite centrist, faux left, faux socialist, faux f***ing give a f***). How do YOU feel this morning? F***ing glad you're still in a f***ing job!

More to the point, can you imagine what would have happened if your favourite Owen -former pharmaceutical lobbyist, neoliberal c***sucker- Smith was leader of your party like you wanted? I guarantee you'd be waking up this morning unemployed and with your new Tory MP taking a s*** on your front lawn!

And do you know who I'm laughing at the most? Not May. No, I'm laughing at Tony Blair, Peter Mandelson. Because New Labour is DEAD, you f***ers! And that is the best result of any election I have ever seen. Corbyn is now the most powerful politician in the country. Singing: things can only get better."

ULSTER PEACE IS NOW UNDER TORY THREAT

> MAY OPTS FOR FORMAL DUP COALITION
> DUP COULD BE MINISTERS IN UK GOVERNMENT
> 500,000+ SIGN ONLINE PETITION AGAINST DEAL

Theresa May is pressing the 10 DUP MPs to enter a formal coalition agreement with the Conservatives, instead of a looser "confidence and supply" arrangement, according to ITV's Robert Preston.

Such a deal threatens the collapse of devolution in Northern Ireland -already in trouble after DUP leader Arlene Foster refused to resign as First Minister over a green energy funding scandal.

According to ITV, May is offering the DUP ministerial jobs below cabinet level. "A coalition would be much better than a looser alliance", a senior minister told Preston. "We don't want the DUP demanding money for this or that project they fancy every time we need them to support us in a vote".

Jonathan Powell, a key adviser to Tony Blair who helped broker peace in Northern Ireland, warned yesterday: 'Even John Major didn't resort to relying on DUP... This could undo 20 years of work in Northern Ireland.'

Former New Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell, says Ms May is threatening the peace process by the deal.

"'She is putting that at risk with a sordid, dangerous distasteful deal," he said on the BBC's Question Time.

'We have a situation in the Northern Ireland right now where there has been a political crisis where the Government is the mediator with the Irish government between the DUP and Sinn Fein.'

'How can our government be the mediator when the DUP are going to be part of our government?'

An online petition to Number 10 Downing Street which opposes such as deal has already been signed by just over 520,000 people. The petition is entitled "Stop the DUP & TORIES forming a Minority Government!"

Among the issues cited in the petition are the DUP stances on discrimination against the LGBT community, creationism taught in schools, access to abortion, and the death penalty.

We speak to Tom Walker aka Jonathan Pie about the UK election,
and on how social media and a socialist manifesto got nearly 65%
of British young people into the voting booths

Election produces a breakthrough for left socialist Jeremy Corbyn,
something only weeks ago was considered impossible - with
Thomas Barlow and Kam Sandhu of Real Media and
Aaron Bastani of Novara Media

And yet another reason to dissolve the criminal conspiracy known as the ECB.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-06-12/eu-plans-power-to-force-relocation-of-euro-clearing-after-brexit

The ECB reminds me of that horror movie from the 1950s, "THE BLOB", about a malevolent parasitic mass that just keeps growing and growing, swallowing up all in it's path, all of Europe, eastern Europe, Ukraine(?), etc., will we never kill the beast?:
