Orlando shooter's father attends Clinton rally
Louis Nelson | 08/09/16 | Politico

Dude has this stupid smirk on his face the entire time. Truly tasteless.

Quote:
The father of the man who shot and killed 49 people inside an Orlando nightclub attended a Hillary Clinton rally in Florida on Monday night, seated on stage and in plain view behind the former secretary of state.

Wearing a red hat and carrying a small American flag in the breast pocket of his shirt, Seddique Mateen was spotted by WPTV, clearly visible over Clinton’s right shoulder throughout her rally Monday in Kissimmee, Florida. Mateen is the father of Omar Mateen, who shot and killed dozens of people inside a gay nightclub in Orlando in June.

Clinton kicked off her Florida rally by talking about the massacre, offering condolences to those still grieving and pledging to “be with you as you rebuild your lives.”

Wow - it's fucking really weird that the Orlando shooter's father is that guy, who *stinks* of 3 letter agencies association.

It kind of reminds me of Osama Binladen's family - I always though that that family was a really weird choice for someone to be the 'devil incarnate' leader of our new agency-approved 'Enemy No.1'.

Journalist Mike Cernovich has taken to Periscope to damn the FBI’s
seeming complicity in the attacks
, in line with their refusal to act on a
serious of domestic acts of terrorism such as the shooting in Parkland,
Flordia.

The prosecution is seemingly shielding terrorist-tied Seddique Mateen,
who was already under watch by the FBI, to prosecute Noor Salman;
did the FBI have advanced knowledge of these attacks, and did
Omer’s father Seddique Mateen encourage his son’s attack?

SHOCK: Father Of Pulse Gunman Was FBI Informant;
FBI Considered Making Gunman An Informant, Reports Say

March 26, 2018

On Monday, lawyers representing the wife of the Orlando Pulse nightclub gunman called for a mistrial in the case after they claimed that new details from prosecutors revealed that the gunman's father was an FBI informant.

CBS affiliate WKMG reports (references to the name of the father redacted):

According to a motion filed by the defense, prosecutors sent an email on Saturday that stated [the gunman's father] was a confidential FBI source from 2005 through June 2016.

The email also stated that [the gunman's father] is being investigated for money transfers to Turkey and Pakistan after documents were found in his home on the day of the Pulse attack.

Krista M. Torralva, a crime reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, reported that the FBI also considered making the gunman a confidential FBI informant on terrorism after they investigated him for terrorism and couldn't find any links.

"FBI Special Agent Juvenal Martin considered developing [the gunman] into a confidential informant for the FBI after investigating him and not finding a tie to terrorism," Torralva tweeted. "Martin was directly responsible for [the gunman's] father... who was a confidential informant already when Martin transferred to the Miami division in 2006."

CBS News reports that according to the motion, defense lawyers for the gunman's wife claim that the FBI's decision not to give her a polygraph test was "based on the FBI's desire to implicate [the wife], rather than [the gunman's father] in order to avoid scrutiny of its own ineptitude with the latter."

The gunman's father "played a significant role in the FBI's decision not to seek an indictment from the Justice Department for false statements to the FBI or obstruction of justice" against him during its 2013 investigation into his alleged ties to terrorism.
