|MSNBC have removed an admission by Katharine Armstrong, whose
family owns the ranch where Dick Cheney shot a hunting partner, that
"a beer or two" was provided to guests --which included the Vice President.
Armstrong is a registered lobbyist who has been paid to lobby the White
The excised paragraph read as follows:
Armstrong also told NBC News that she does not believe alcohol was
involved in the accident. She says she believes no one that day was
drinking, although she says there may have been beer available during a
picnic lunch that preceeded the incident. There may be a beer or two in
there," she said, but remember not everyone in the party was shooting."
The remarks by Armstrong are errily reminiscent of a typical admission by
someone questioned by a cop about their alcohol consumption: "Yeah, well
maybe a beer or two..."
