Within those, a claim was made regarding immortality of the soul. The example given was that of the gaps between the 12 around 1 spheres. The gaps representing Memory... This sounds like a metaphor more than anything.

I'm looking for clarity on that. It was how the nested geometries work....how we come from source via this implosion explosion. Fintan's point being the the soul - even the personality - will exist forever due to this process.

I've recently perused this Rainbow Body phenomenon in Tibet. Apart from that directly, I was surprised to learn that their (apparently learned) belief, or knowledge, is that ultimately, the soul...too...does Not exist whatsoever.

It's all appearances. It's the way things Interact, imo, which gives the illusion that something, anything, is or remains. In slightly more practical terms, if you can do the right practices, you come to learn that you don't exist at all.

But then this seems preposterous in that the whole thing seems like a waste of time. But it may be that it's not really about us. It's the Great Dream and we have to put up with it for a while.

Since everything is energy, it is all about conformances. The forms that occupy space and contain or direct the presence and flow of that energy. Be it memory or thought or material manifestation, we are the representation of the amalgam of all those energetic conformances that are present within and around us.
Does the soul "live" forever? Only so long as it maintains the functionality of its form. Once that functionality is transformed, it is not destroyed, just reformulated. (It was "created" as such, when the fields which interact with the energy brought its conformance into "existence".) When that form has served its purpose (the energy within requires a new conformance for its containment and direction) it then becomes the vehicle for the further exploration of our existential experience.

I've heard that standard line before. So what do you make of Fintan claiming that we do live on; our current identity?

And, "memory never forgets."

Ever peruse the Rainbow Body phenomenon (over in Tibet of course)?

Seems clear our Present energy crosses over... it seems to be what happens after so much "time" has passed.

A standard line is not necessarily a principle, but a principle can always be a standard line.

The spirit (psyche) is a conformance that represents our presence. While its energy is conserved, its form can and may change. Are we aware of this? Not at our current level of "operation", as we have been lowered into restructuring mode and have traded this awareness for more practical and useful aspects.

The logic behind this is consistent with all the means of evolution that we experience and observe throughout the perceivable universe.

Our identity, if you use that term in its strictest mathematical sense, means that which is equal to something else. "We" are eternal and indestructable but we are also timely and tractable. Where, when and what we are is also who and why we are. Crossing over is just part of the process, like all the rest and memory never forgets because it never gets anywhere... Wink
