Marie Colvin was killed in a house in the Baba Amr district in the Syrian city of Homs.
28,000 people live in Baba Amr. Shells were falling as fast as 10 per minute fired allegedly by Assad's forces. The city that had become a symbol of resistance after withstanding months of attacks despite locals being armed only with light weapons.
This is all we need of the official story.
It sounds like another "Falluga".
Why was Marie covering the story from the dissadents side. Has the government been classed the enemy? Is this the side where the stories are abundant?
Why would Assad attack a district with so many civilians in it? Why would the dissadents choose a strong hold with so many civilians in it? Why would Assad take the bait, if indeed he was set up to attack this place, for Assad to get the bad publicity?
These are not questions intended to be answered. This whole thing is waco and doesn't make sense so don't try to provide a sensible explanation. War makes no sense.
Homs was set up to be another Falluga or was it. Was Homs just another "theatre" of war? |

I wish you were right. I am afraid that the reality is much, much worse. The real increasing danger is thermo nuclear conflict between US (and NATO) and Asian pacific block - Russia and China. All other stuff we are witnessing in Syria and Iran is a ramp up.
Big problem for lunatic, war mongering Western elite is much slower path of economic disintegration (and even reverse) in counties of Asian-Pacific rim than of Atlantic. They are cornered and like cornered rats are going completely nuts. |

It is damned obvious they are creating an opinion for war with Iran.
Why do they want an opinion for that?
Same procedure as last time. And that procedure was:
First we manipulate the election,
then we manipulate the opinion,
then we use American taxmoney to pay our operation,
and if there is no money left there we use FED paper money. |

I wish folk could concentrate on one subject at a time and thoroughly debate the issue rather than jumping all over the place.
The media uses sound bites and now we are playing along. Syria is the topic of this thread - Somalia has its own.
But whilst we are on the subject of Somalia - here is an interesting story
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/apr/10/hostage-killed-as-french-storm-pirate-yacht?INTCMP=ILCNETTXT3487
What did the pirates want if they turned down the usual stuff causing the French president to give the GO for attacking this yacht. Surely the pirates are not making demands above their pay grade. This must have been chaos on or in this yacht.
If this guy was expendible then the president can take some credit. If he was one of them they would not have attempted a rescue and the president has fouled up.
This piracy thing seems to be a big problem. May be with the power and conviction that the pirates possess they should become a political force and take over the country. They seem to have taken over the seas. |
