Yeah, i like corbett's delivery too. thanks for sharing Rump.
funny just today going onto wikipedia while looking up something, i saw their blackout notice (set to begin tomorrow, wednesday 1/18/12) for a 24 hour period in protest against both PIPA (PROTECT IP Act) and SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act).
dichotomy is - do you keep watching MSM to see what these guys are up to or ignore it? (but then only their supporters will be tuned in, LOL!)
almost works in their favor to keep all peeps watching. joke's on us?
funnier, upon reading the two acts (courtesy wiki for sake of brevity) it's clever that i would understand these as good legislations. of course i am against piracy and off-shore operations that can side-step current laws (copyright and other privacy issues like email and other contact info on complete strangers - and now their prospective new clients). if they get money out of you without executing their end of a transaction, they potentially get out of dodge with current laws.
now i guess the bad part is, online sharing of things not owned by the messenger of said things would become illegal. or at least can be reviewed for legitimacy which means the 3rd party has to have permission to share intellectual property. with commons, that was decently solved, but i think this would encroach on that.
is that the crux of it?

and don't forget too big to fail. we just cannot bust up the entire media monster. too many jobs. who will report accurate news? the peeps? they already do. and it's a mish-mash of America's psychosis as well...
but for the big boys...
advertising is an expendable line item for businesses. i think it works on % of revenue, though there may be a cut-off.
and the media share personalities between "private" and govt sectors.
who is signing the paychecks?

I don't have any huge qualms with Corbett.
Occasionally says something questionable,
but at least does so calmly.
He's featured on several fake sites
but that's not always a reason to dismiss someone.
I cringed when he said "police state" in this video below,
but then about 1:24 totally nails it.
Mental prison, psychological warfare...not actual FEMA camps, the
subtle threat of them...
i think the new laws this year were due to authorities being hot on the heels of the mysterious hacker (who is actually many people). you know, the ones by the name a*nnnnn... well, you know who.
i suppose one could view techno attacks as an act of war... geeks with their own army, so to speak. no boots on the ground needed, really.
freaking strange world anymore...
