The synergy of our contributions is making for a veritable web of cross-pollination of ideas, conceptions and realizations.

Continuing in that vein, what if you "knew" that you were destined to get to the next level and that what you left behind would serve you and others to follow and to support your ascension? Would you strive to share your awareness with others? Would you concentrate it in your endeavors? Would you pass it on to your progeny genetically? (Another extant thread entirely!)

Conscious awareness is a direction that the spirit applies to our purpose, enabling us to orient our efforts to greatest efficacy. Knowing that this status is individualized does not preclude that it share some directionality with others but energetically, the refinement of the field involved does exclude the presence of masses of others, going their own ways. Thus, invariably and inevitably, the masses go one way, and you have to go the only way.

Speaking of synergy...

The distinction between individualism and individuation helps clear up
any uncertainty about what it going on. The former is the poor cousin of
the latter.

Individualism risks verging into mere selfishness, whereas the individuated
person is an artist in full and glorious relation with the global group/collective.
In that resepct the 'blogger' exemplifies this dynamic very well.
Every success by the 'One' is a triumph of the 'Many'.
Perfect symbiosis.

Expanding on my last post, the nature of the move to the individuated
global collective is transformed by the concurrent expression of Truth.

This implies we are about to raise the social effectivness of humanity
as dramatically as we did in the first industrially-centered mass system.

The specialization of medicine as a discipline and all it's sub-specializations
for example was a great leap forward. But it is a one-eyed progress.

Think of all the wasted human resources deployed in the various Wars
(lol) on Cancer or diabetes or heart disease etc, etc.. Selfish and very
arrogant individuals who lead and populate that whole domain are
rendering the effort 90% futile. Elimination of wheat and dairy and
avoidance of toxic constituents in the diet would deliver more bang
for the buck than amount of expensive specialization.

Yet we now see that whole medical edifice under pressure from a host
of individuating artist critics within and without the medical domain. They
will win, because Truth will out.

Apply the same process to every other appect of human effort and we
can see that a golden age is dawning. Just one example to illustrate the
new process: instead of building consumer items with planned obsolence
to maximize power and profit - indivuated artists will design for maximum
endurance and utility.

Capitalism itself is built on the notion of harnessing the selfish motives of
the individual for the benefit of the collective. But the indivuated person
is an artist seeking --no, craving-- balanced relation to the collective.

Don't doubt that such a vast wave of artists is emerging.

Already the music 'industry' era of a relatively few mega-artists up on
stage and singing to un-artistic crowds is being replaced by a new crowd
too busy expressing their own artistry on Youtube to bother attending
concerts and worship the priesthood of music at the industrial altar.

Recall that this is the "dawning" of the Age of Aquarius. The arrival of new light. Inner light. Luminous psychic energy that exposes and expounds the occulted and obtuse aspects of our personal, as well as common, nature. Providing a perspective that grows and evolves as each unique viewpoint is added to the mix. This is the synergy that comes from the sharing of these new and vibrant contributions to the advancement of our conscious awareness.

The internet and fora such as BFN commit to and contribute to this progression. We are not cogs in the machine as much as we are fuel in the tank. Our energies are not expended, they are cumulated and positioned such that each phase of the cycle propels our knowledge further and consolidates our understanding. That was an individual pursuit in the past that has now become our commonality. We share in the richness of our reality and benefit from the spending of our cosmic currency.

The blogosphere's best example is the taking down of the CAGW conspiracy. Individual efforts that galvanized a response amongst others that spread amongst specialists and allowed them to overcome the command and control exercised by the climatologists exploiting the system for their benefit and our good. Certainly the financial machinations of the central banks and their entrenched banksters will be the next great crusade against the tidal flow of greed that has swept our society towards a precipice that must be avoided. As always, time will tell but we must be the vectors of that movement.

The depth of the above posts.....makes me smile:)....nice sunny weekend!
Hope all found some sunshine this weekend Very Happy

There's a natural mystic blowing through the air;
If you listen carefully now you will hear.
This could be the first trumpet, might as well be the last:
Many more will have to suffer,
Many more will have to die - don't ask me why.

Things are not the way they used to be,
I won't tell no lie;
One and all have to face reality now.
'Though I've tried to find the answer to all the questions they ask.
'Though I know it's impossible to go livin' through the past -
Don't tell no lie.

There's a natural mystic blowing through the air -
Can't keep them down -
If you listen carefully now you will hear.

There's a natural mystic blowing through the air.

This could be the first trumpet, might as well be the last:
Many more will have to suffer,
Many more will have to die - don't ask me why.

There's a natural mystic blowing through the air -
I won't tell no lie;
If you listen carefully now you will hear:
There's a natural mystic blowing through the air.
Such a natural mystic blowing through the air;
There's a natural mystic blowing through the air;
Such a natural mystic blowing through the air;
Such a natural mystic blowing through the air;
Such a natural mystic blowing through the air.

The 'village' is/was the previous level of cooperative human system.
Within that domain the adrenally-vigorous individual could still shine.

But the development of the mass collective enabled a quantum leap
in capability of the human species --through regimented specialization.
The individual was all but subsumed into specialization types: name,
rank, serial number and 'carreer'.

The currently-emerging global collective features a re-emergence
of the individual--pitted against the dominant mass collective ethos.

This probably doesn't belong on this thread, but it's interesting.
It's more on stuff your kids shouldn't do.

Privacy, Facebook, politics and kids

Yeah! - Keeping Kids safe is a twisted mechanism of twisted fearful minds.

Thankfuly, for kids of all ages it's Doomed to failure.

Kids will use their own peer groups to learn to navigate
the information metaplex and will understand all the issues.

But what if some serial killer twists their minds?

You mean like - Tony Blair?

Countermeasures to preverve privacy.... blah, blah.

Here's News - Privacy is Dead!

Blogging mortally wounded it.

The internet is the light-penetrating crack now embedded
in the walls of the private semi-detached prisons of the
modern suburban nightmare.

Quote:
Beyond Bright Shiny Objects: Situating Children’s Privacy
within a Comprehensive Privacy Framework

by Leslie Harris - April 5, 2011

Washington is experiencing a "Privacy Spring": the online privacy debate has been rejuvenated and for the first time in over a decade, privacy is back on the policy table.

Both the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Commerce have issued reports setting out robust frameworks for privacy protections, bills are being introduced in Congress, and the Obama Administration has announced support for baseline privacy legislation.

Not surprisingly, teenagers have become a focal point of the current debate over online privacy, tracking, and advertising. Thirteen years ago, concern about online collection of children's personal information led to the enactment of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Now, children's advocates and policy makers have a more complex set of concerns: data-sharing by teens on social networking sites, behavioral advertising, data collection by mobile applications, and advertising campaigns aimed at teens that offer prizes and gifts in return for personal data.

These concerns have prompted a raft of new proposals to address the perceived shortcomings of COPPA, including its application only to children under 13. Proposals have ranged from an expansion of the COPPA age to cover older minors under 18, a Do Not Track (DNT) law for kids, and a Fair Information Practices (FIPs) law that addresses the collection and use of teens' data.

In this piece, I argue that that the drive for additional child and/or teen specific privacy laws is counterproductive and threatens to divert policy makers from the urgent task of enacting a comprehensive baseline privacy law for all Americans. Concerns about teen privacy will best be addressed through a strong comprehensive privacy law that requires adherence to Fair Information Practices by all commercial entities, including advertisers, that collect and use personal data.

Bravo James D

So, Fintan

how would you deal with a bully? Delete him or her from your Facebook or MySpace?

Radical.

A real-time smack in the mouth and a bloody nose is often the only way.

And it works, IMBO.

Dangerous, no. Pragmatic, yes.

Fuck the wanky philosophy, just panel the twat.

Dangerous!

[Am I on the correct thread?]
