I came across this article while looking into the AIDS dissident movement. Probably one of the most interesting things I have read in quite a while. Unfortunately I could not find the medical paper that Schmidt mentions below:

There are, however, not one but two main classes of contagious illness in man: infectious diseases (spread by germs) and contagious forms of psychological disturbances (spread by suggestion). It is often forgotten that the reigning theories of the origins of infectious illness before Pasteur came along were those of humoral causation ("bad humors") and the theory of putrefaction. It took Pasteur years to prove and convince people of the germ theory of infection. Once that explanation became accepted, it became unshakable due to the inertia of the mind. To this day, every single disease entity for which no adequate explanation has been found has been ascribed to a viral origin (from schizophrenia down through autoimmune disorders).

I propose an alternative hypothesis for the etiology of AIDS, based on the second of these two mechanisms of contagion in man. This will posit a psychosocial origin of epidemic AIDS, which will lie on the cusp between immunology, pathology and psychology (the latter including the psychology of both individuals and groups). I will do so in twin papers meant to be read in tandem: this one, which will deal mostly with the group psychology, and a second paper for the medical press. In the medical paper, which is entitled, "The Pathogenesis of Epidemic AIDS", I account for the "biological" end of the disorder. It will trace the physiological effects of the group-psychological factors outlined in this paper on the individual patient, with the resultant epidemic of severe, mostly masked, reactive depression in the at-risk groups, of which the immune deficiency is one facet. It will outline the pathway and the mechanism by which the cellmediated immunity may be suppressed, and will provide an animal model for AIDS, as I discuss below.

This is worth the half-hour or so it would take to read IMHO. The information presented here felt like the missing piece(s) of the puzzle for me personally.

Also, I found some of the work of Ian Young to be quite good. He interviewed Schmidt before Schmidt's death in 1994.

Lauritsen wrote about this in his book AIDS Death Cult, I think it was based on his work. In effect they wanted AZT as it was so poisonous. Covert-hostile is the psychology http://www.whale.to/v/tone.html

I've also written on these
psychosocial aspects of AIDS.

The physician, patient death dance

by Fintan Dunne - 8th March 2002

It is the stuff of 'B' movies. Late into the night,
the mad doctor is shut away in his laboratory;
bent over strange instruments; concocting
bizarre potions and giving life to monstrous
creations. Eventually his insatiable preoccupation
overcomes him, and his mind unhinges.

Local citizens call to question him, but he
pooh-poohs their concerns with a mask of glib
assurance. Until, at last, the abomination escapes
the lab. Screams echo in the night as it wreaks
havoc on the defenseless populace.

They don't make movies like that anymore.

They don't have to. Death by doctor is now the third leading cause of
death in the US health system. According to the Journal of the American
Medical Association, iatrocide is running at around 250,000 deaths per
annum. That figure is likely somewhat short of the truth and is surely the
wreaking of havoc on a defenseless population. With doctoring like this,
who needs monsters?

But, why is the profession as a whole largely in denial of the scale of the
iatrocide being inflicted on patients? Why are doctors not marching in the
street with Hippocratic fervor to demand reform? Why do they remain
largely complicit in the mass slaughter of patients? After all, in the last ten
years, doctors have probably killed well in excess of three million patients
and seriously injured perhaps thirty million more.

For an answer we must delve into the subterranean levels of the medical
mind. The key to understanding this catastrophe is to examine the
socio-psychological motivations of doctors; and, indeed of patients. Let's
consult an expert in the psychology of medics. Let's begin by recalling
Robert Louis Stevenson's delineation of the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll
and Mr. Hyde.....

Minds are like parachutes.
They only function when open.

See Dr hamer http://www.whale.to/cancer/hamer.html

for the emotional cause of disease proven by CAT scans, not that I like CAT scans--400 x rays by all accounts.

Not sure why cancer has risen so much with this theory but other factors may make you more susceptible to the effect of emotional trauma.

In regard to AIDS Dr Hamer observes that no one ever died of AIDS without having previously been told that they are HIV positive or believe that they are. The implication is that just as with cancer, it is the negative perception associated with AIDS that causes its devastating effect
