There once was a slimeball named Dick
Whose cronies were twisted and sick.
They invaded Iraq
and Dubya had their back,
just a real gang of treacherous pricks.

The Mayans say that time will end
Sometime in twenty-twelve
But Iíve got news for you of things
in to which we must delve.

Those Mayans looked up for their gods
And then down for their hells
But realized that both these things
Were reflections of themselves.

As consciousness was rising
From stirrings in our souls
The universe was readying
Our purpose and our goals.

Come what may and very soon
An era will be closed
So from the ashes we will rise
The Ones, as are supposed.

A new direction given time
Is all that we will need
For once we have availed ourselves
Of that which was our seed.

So growing up and branching out
Weíll reach both wide and far
Rejecting hells and heavens both
To take our place among the stars.

26th Oct
Death of a ghost, when you die who will care
In fact if I go, will they notice that Iím not here?
Methodís of death, life is like chess, my success
Is worth nothing if itís not held to chest or caressed?
No one can hold this life; no matter how hard they try
My best guess, is more or less it depends on how I die

Just picture it, there he is, dead on the ground
Tortured then shot, that the news up and down town
But there are no bullet wounds, so how did he go
Like they say when nobody knows, everyone knows,
The word grows, that this kid was a great potential
But messed with the honor, of those who can be considered anti-social
And so one by one they cut of his toe sent them to mum
Then hands on the table, hammered them all just for fun,
Nah, there are no signs thatís what he went through
I think he had all his cards, gambled and then blew.
What ever happened to the talk of play your cards right
They paid him back outside, fist to gun, he lost the fight
Forget how he died because either way he was still killed
Whatís more he had it coming, lets keep the case sealed

So what now, do I come up and not come down
Or am I just another gravestone left in the ground
If I werenít tortured then explain if I was poisoned
Who ever thought drinking holy water would win my sin
Who was this kid, no family we didnít find a trace
Can you be surprised, I looked in his eyes, he had no face.
He was so young, he had be killed, but I canít see the physical,
Murdered or slaughtered he died like no other individual
Oh I know, maybe he was the man who didnít grow
From a sunny day, these boys just appeared in the snow
I wonder, he had no hair, did he die from cancer
The swelling on his feet, tells me perhaps he was a dancer
Maybe he was asthmatic, didnít reach the air in time
If only he asked, I would surely have offered mine
Osteology, I could see he had bent knees
Maybe he was a smoker, and died of lung disease
Who knows, maybe it an unprovoked natural cause
The simple things you donít think about can cause you to pause,
In fact I think that he was alone fighting the tide
School, sport or streets, all of which led to his suicide
So much was in his mind, but he just couldnít state the issue
Now your gone I need to ask, shall we bliss you?
I think it was the school, they love to patronize
Didnít fight the system but they bullied him in disguise
Maybe it was social, emotional or dreaded and domestic
Original or trivial, it was hard to depict
Either way, Iím sure, that he hated every piece of life
Couldnít take it all, so instead he took a slice
Found flat on the mat, bleeding, to alls astonishment
Waiting to die, so I wonder, was it all an accident
Hysterical, looking back suicide was just a suggestion
But stimulated our depression, all in his direction
Everyone was passing judgment before they understood
The child vanished, who knows if it was for his own good
Death of a ghost, Iím aghast but I wonder will we remember
One October, this invisible turned to a martyr

Reflection

Thereís an old man in the mirror
Who is staring back at me
He just seems to be saying
This is what Iíve come to be.

Too long ago, when all my time
Was always on my side
It was often really easy
To let most things just slide.

But sliding causes friction
And friction causes wear
And wear and tear as we well know
Causes more than just grey hair.

Its not so hard, to realize
That time canít be denied
Despite our greatest efforts
A law, we must abide.

Donít be surprised or seem dismayed
By how you look and feel
A part of you is still 19
And thatís the part thatís real.

So carry on and donít be scared
Of what awaits beyond
The nicest part of any trip
Is always, coming home.

And home is where the heart is
And hearts are made for love
And love is never-ending
Unlike this poem, thank God!

Dexterís vectors

Deep and dark, mysterious
He gazed into the pit
That forms whenever he decides
To get up and do it

An action always rectifies
Whatever thinking clouds
Best not to keep it in his head
But just speak it aloud.

Constant turning, twisting, swirling
His thoughts they just wonít stop
Until the act that calls to him
Helps him come out on top.

The cutting edge

The knife is like experience
Issue of perception
A fleeting moment, lost in time
Crystallized intention

Never judgement, only justice
Never prejudice, only vision
Never regrets, only release
Never promises, only satisfaction

The kind of experience that
Decisive action brings
When being in the moment
Ends planning and thinking.

Dexter's reason without rhyme?

(Not everything I write has to rhyme....Wink

Transfixed we watch in awe,
fascinated by the flow and ease
with which he tries and succeeds.

Each turn of phrase, each expression
molded into sly and simple prose
slicing like a knife through meat.

And thus the power therein lies
with every heartbeat, short of breath
awaiting whatever will come next.

I think we should all ruminate on what this wise man is saying in this insightful poem about love.

hehehe well said and posted fagabeefy,

the smug are blind and the navel gasers
are venal wankers, hes a vile poet, dirty and true,
its not bout fucking and self gratification,
its honesty and the pscyhes demons let loose
to piss of the very ones i suspect the most
of dubious and dire behaviour.

Hey jus look at how catholicism responded to
rock n roll!!!! hmm made them a tad uncomfortable!!!

as STEVE JONES sussed the drunken perv Bill grundy trying to
belittle and patronise a group of pre punk mob culture
individuated teens as deficient degenerates on live tv

'U DIRTY BASTARD'
' U DIRTY FUCKER'
'WHAT A FUCKIN ROTTER'

Getting in the Guroove

I know that I will never see
A guru lonely as a tree
While standing there, heíll expound
Until the people gather round
Convince them of their urgent need
To follow his advice and creed.
For if it were so very smart
Youíd know it right there from the start
And he would ask for your advice
If he were really all that nice.

The truth be known and facts be found
you only have to look around
to see the beast just stand in line
what's bought and sold, so defined.
In every bar code, at it's heart
and at the end and at the start
a double line, the number six
is how the reader takes a fix
The machine sees the code
666 and then it knows....
everything that really counts
and all the dollar bill amounts.
Check it out next time you shop
before its time for you to drop.
