This sounded like an anti-communist rant which -- though apparently factual if you believe that Bushco IS the essence of rightwing communism-- served the purpose of endorsing the COLD WAR military buildup against the Evil Empire. Many knowledgeable people say that this THREAT was GREATLY EXAGGERATED. Others pointed out at the time that America in fighting the Soviet Union was becoming a replica of the Soviet Union, politically and socially.
I'm referring to McCarthyist witchhunts against actors and plumbers and electricians, etc.

In defense of JFK, considering Nixon's devoted service to Prescott Bush and Allen Dulles hiding their Nazi connections, this statement says quote a lot. |
