I'd heard of this Wizard of Oz economics thing before, but never looked into it. Apparently L Frank Baum was cloaking economic theory in his original version.

And yes, Bill Still of "The Money Masters" is back, but luckily they took away his 'waving threat pencil'. Laughing

If only they'd come long in time to save Bob Dole's political career.

As creators of verse, even should we attempt to generalize and keep our commentary anonymous, we know that it is our reaction to our experience that drives the process.

More so once we take aim, no matter how we couch the wording in meanings that may be ambiguous so that the not-always-so-innocent are protected...

That Baum was inspired by then current events is normal. That humanity has changed little in the past hundred years is obvious. That we find relevance in his writing is testament to the clarity of his vision and of his expression.
