After my meeting with the Cuban "special forces" <--- with the one that told me it was a "fluke", she gave me this as a message.....
DOLPHIN ARIA
The dolphins laugh and play all day
For all the tourists, come to pay.
But what they do, most every night
Is cry for what was their birthright.
Like a river's water in the sea
A dolphin’s tears just cannot be.
Not due to us, our vision’s faulty
Just more drops in a sea that’s salty.
Fidel and Ché set the Cubans free
While the waiting dolphins need to be.
The meanings of their clicks and cries?
Requests to swim under open skies. _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos. |

Grace fall
At those times you fall from grace
You never land upon your feet
But rather in a way that seems
To end so bittersweet.
That state of grace from which you fell
Had all you’d ever need
But being unaware of this
You end up swayed by greed.
For goodness takes a lot of work
The other’s easy if you try
By letting go of what is good
life without love is just a lie.
With time you’ll find that you’ve become
A prisoner of the cell you’ll make
With all those bars you cannot break.
From each and every small mistake. _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos. |

What are you doing here Peter? You seem to know your own mind, your view of the world (LIFE). Why are you here? Lurker asks a question...... |

I have neglected the english language version of my consciousness for some years now. When I came across this site it seemed like a place that I could make a contribution to at the same time as testing my mettle.
So why are you here? _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos. |

Forget-me-knot
Your life is like a piece of string
That’s long and straight and narrow.
Just a line and without promise,
Until you use it, somehow.
With each and every passing day,
It grows and just gets longer.
But is more always better?
If we can’t make it stronger?
And even if one end is tied,
The rest is free to choose.
Be careful not to let it slip,
It’s easy to misuse.
We stretch it taut, and trip on it,
It coils just like a snake,
Until we cannot find the part,
That with our hands we’ll take.
To get it right and use it well,
So easy when you see,
Those loops and knots are there for you,
Untied, they’ll set you free
Not if you use them as a noose,
Or for the ties that bind.
Instead, just as a tether,
To join what’s yours and mine.
For that is life’s one purpose.
To serve us for this end.
That what was made, is what is left,
It’s really a Godsend. _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos. |

Hurt by the world Peter, and its history, and my small personal place in this world. An existential crisis I guess. Too much horror and I don't understand it. I enjoy reading your posts though, even though I don't understand most of them!
Lâ Arche Forum, January 31, 2006, Ottawa
Presentation by Dr. Balfour Mount, M.D., F.R.C.S.C.
Journey to Personal & Social Transformation
Tonight we are thinking about Personal and social transformation.
....What issues may increase our suffering?
In his NB book Existential Psychotherapy, Irvin Yalom suggests that
there are 4.
1/ Death: in the sense of existential obliteration
2/ Isolation: referring to the unbridgeable gap between self and
others - While we may all be as one, at a quantum level, only I can
experience my birth and my death, only you yours
3/ Freedom: referring to the unnerving absence of external structure
that is seen in the Sunday afternoon syndrome (I'd know what I'm
supposed to be doing right now if I was at work!) and the retirement
syndrome.
4/ Meaning: that is, the dilemma of meaning seeking creatures such as
we are, as we confront a cosmos that is potentially without meaning.
Let us look more closely at meaning...
.......... Themes common across cases at the wounded end of the spectrum included: 1) a sense of isolation and being disconnected; 2) a
crisis of meaning, an existential vacuum with an inability to find
solace or peace in anything; 3) anxious preoccupation with future or
ongoing ruminations about the past; 4) a sense of victimization; 5) a
need to be in control....
....800 years ago Rumi wrote: Your defects are the way that glory gets
manifested. Whoever sees clearly what's diseased in himself begins to
gallop on the way. Self complacency blocks the workmanship. Don't turn
your head. Keep looking at the bandaged place. That's where the light enters you.
800 years later Leonard Cohen wrote: Ring the bells that still can ring.
Forget your perfect offering. There's a crack in everything. That's
how the light gets in. (Either Rumi has been reading Leonard Cohen, or,
Leonard Cohen, Rumi!!)
And Yo Yo Ma has commented, We all have walls and limits and barriers.
I think the message is to find your personal wall - the wall you come
up against that you need to explore, because ultimately that becomes
the speaking part of your medium. You dare go there and you come back to report on what that is. Then you have something to say........Healing involves VOLITION, an active initiation of the process on our part; a leap of faith; a stepping out in trust. There is an internal locus of control.
No one can do it for us.......
......Healing involves ACCEPTING, where that is understood, not as passive giving up, but, as an active integration of reality (Ah, so that's the way my cookie crumbled! Now, what am I going to do with it?!)
.........Healing involves LETTING GO or as Phil Simmons expressed it,
learning to fall. As we learn to fall, we let go of our attachment, our
illusions of control; we fall from head to heart; from ego to deep
centre; from a stance of fearful quest for control and protective
closure to one of opening to mystery, and our healing connection to the
unity of all things......
........We need to come to recognize the healing potential within us,
a potential that was, and is, and always shall be, the essence of our
being. And yet, And yet, as C.S. Lewis observed, The process of living
seems to consist in coming to realize truths so ancient and simple that, if stated, they sound like barren platitudes. They cannot sound otherwise to those who have not had the relevant experience: that is why there is no real teaching of such truths possible and every generation starts from scratch....
.........John Main observed, We are not people who have to live on the
surface, or people who are condemned to live lives of shallow emotions.
Meditating is leaving the shallows, leaving the surface, and entering into the depths of your own being. Its purpose is to advance along the way of the fullness of your own humanity........ Quantum mechanicaledom as our own.
Thank you.
Balfour Mount,

Peter, I am trying to heal the hurt I feel from knowing about the deception in this world and finding a way to live with that. Hope that is a fairly complete answer to your question! |

And heal it will as you take it to task for your suffering. You only need to understand that your hurt is the signal to the clues that you left for yourself as you came into this existance. They are the baggage that you packed with all those parts of you that needed attention and resolution. You can neither save nor fix anything or anyone but yourself.
To further elucidate anything that I have offered for consideration, don't hesistate to add your part to the mix. The recipe will only be the richer for it. _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos.

Heart felt
How can you tell your heart is broken?
Each piece is sharp just like a knife.
Their edges cut into your soul,
And bleed away all trace of life.
But even more, that missing part
Creates a space where nothing stays
You cannot help but feel so empty
Loneliness keeps all away.
Will there ever be an ending,
To all this sadness and despair?
You dry your eyes, to better see
And try to look, you know not where.
Perhaps, one day, you will be able
To carry on, in spite of this.
Love will return and spring eternal
As soft caress and gentle kiss. _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos. |

A door able
If a heart is broken,
why then how does it ache?
Feelings of abandonment,
with every breath you take.
Freedom is a precious thing
once given, you’re alone.
Unlike love, that lasts and lasts
when it was with the one.
No matter what and come what may,
some things will never change.
No matter just how hard we try
to sort and rearrange.
For those words, once they are said,
will last forevermore.
Once you have said, I love you,
you can never close that door. _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos. |

If living doesn't break your heart
My friend, you have not lived
Were we not told that from the start
The heart's the greatest gift ..
To walk and never stumble?
To laugh but never cry?
Yet love will make us humble
In the blinking of an eye
For many though the shock is strong
Too much to risk again
So hide they where they don't belong
Whilst eyes betray the pain
The innocence of heart's love song
Burns fierce or flickers weak
And heart knows neither right from wrong
But only what it seeks
To reignite and reunite
With all life's symphony
And give away all that it is
Throughout eternity

To the lurker in all of us.
Integration
There is no flight from desperation
Nor any way of marking time.
Each moment is, as it should be,
Precious, to be found so fine.
If held and cherished, no misspending,
Value and interest will accrue
Until such time as it is able
To serve in ways and things we do.
So in our method there’s no madness
But sight and sound and perception.
Of what was once a tender feeling
That will with you, as one, become. _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos. |
